I knocked at heaven's door this morning. God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?' And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.' God smiled and answered...'Request granted'.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." -Isaiah 41:10

Welcome to my web site!

Faith and belief comprise a very important part of our lives. A person's beliefs in many ways define who they are -- how they see themselves, what they want out of life, and more.

First off, I am not a minister, nor do I have a ministry per sa.  When I set up this website I was just going to put my name but guess someone else had my name as a website so I was playing around and tried this and it accepted it.  So guess now I need to minister to you.
Of course, you know as Christians we all minister to others in one way or the other.  I'm hoping mine is one way and not the other. (smile)

On this web site I'll offer a personal account of my own beliefs. I'll describe how my beliefs have changed my life in profound and exciting ways, and how I think they might change the lives of others.

I'll also be sure to provide links to my favorite sites as well as information about organizations that help strengthen or support my beliefs.
This website is a work in progress, I've just started on it and I'll keep adding pages as I continue to work on it. So please bear with me.

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to get in touch and let me know what you think! By signing my guest book is a way of contacting me.

You will find my guest book on the guest book page.  Ron

"LORD PROP US UP..."

Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed, "Lord, prop us up on our leanin'side..."

After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently. He answered, "Well sir, you see, it's like this... I got an old barn out back. It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather; it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years. It's still standing. But, one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit. So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning side so it wouldn't fall.

Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn. I've been around a long time. I've withstood a lot of life's storms. I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life, I've withstood a lot of hard times, and I'm still standing too. But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time, so I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side. 'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning at times.

So many time we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness, leaning toward hatred, leaning toward cussing, leaning toward a lot of things that we shouldn't. So we need to pray, "Lord, prop us up on our leaning side, so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord."

Pass this on to others who might need Propping Up, If you wish to!

Its not about being who everyone else wants you to be,

Its about being yourself & finding someone who loves every bit of it!

If you stare at this barn for a second, you will see who will help us stand straight and tall again.

CONSIDER THE LILLIES!

Matthew 6:28-29 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

It seems all the news these days is focused on the economy. Two days ago, Japan reported the worst quarter in their history since World War 2. Yesterday, President Barack Obama signed into law a stimulus package worth nearly $800 billion and yet many economists are concerned that this will not help the current financial crisis. So how ought believers to face these frightening times?

"Consider the Lilies!" was a recommendation the Lord gave for when we become concerned about financial problems. Imagine that, a recommendation from the Son of God Himself to consider...yet do we really think about it? Let's consider just what He was saying to us. It's fairly obvious, lilies don't spend their days in fear, anxiety, or worry about their economic future. They've no concern about money, neither are they fearful about clothing or food. They simply continue radiating the beauty and fragrance of the flowers that they are -- and are so beautiful that even Solomon in his glory couldn't match the loveliness of a lily.
In these scary times, we can really take a lesson from the lilies....by emulating their peace, trust and quiet radiance. By turning over our fear, anxiety, and worry, pouring it out in prayer to Him, He will, in turn fill us with the peace that passes all understanding. And as we become free of worry and anxiety and filled with His perfect shalom, we will begin to radiate the beauty and fragrance of our Lord, just as the lilies of the field, whose witness to His loving provision is perfect, and clothes them more wonderfully than King Solomon himself!

Just think, there will be very few politicians in Heaven according to this Bible verse (Hey the Bible said it, not me).   Read it for yourself.

Revelation 21:8 (King James Version)

8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
